What’s the best way to combine the two interests of stock markets and board games? Participating in the Spiel des Jahres 2006 Virtual Market, of course!
As a comic strip junkie, I loved Clinton Smith’s Geeklist of games based on them. Five Card Nancy is probably my favorite…not that I’ve played it, but I love the idea.

Are you trying to decide whether or not you despise Eurogames? This Geeklist is presented for the prosecution. It’s certainly gathering a lot of commentary–especially since, as the title implies, there are a mere seven entries. Fairly high snark content, naturally, but basically civil. (It’s worth noting, as MattDP underlines later on, that this isn’t a Wargames vs. Euros debate, really.)
Dave Shapiro has written an article at The Games Journal revisiting Risk.
