Numero Striker

How many bus drivers sell games of their own design from the driver’s seat? There is at least one, and at least one of his games is apparently pretty good. I’ll have to keep my eye out on my travels this summer, see if anyone’s selling games off the back of their truck, like with strawberries…

BGG Thread: TI3 Fan Fiction: Sunja’s Deal

May 16, 2006

Some people take their board game fanaticism to extreme levels. I’d say writing lengthy pieces of fan fiction like Sunja’s Deal, a Twilight Imperium 3 fan fic, based on game flavour text is extreme. Thinking Out Loud: Session Report >> Hammer of the Scots

Jason Little reports on a Hammer of the Scots session. Good report, but this is the sentence that tickled me:

Call me old-fashioned, but it’s always possible that the designer thought about the rules a bit and maybe had a good reason for writing it the way it’s written…..

Matthew Gray’s Weblog: Two BGG Things

May 9, 2006

Two BGG Things in Matthew Gray’s weblog describes a way to make BGG a bit faster to use, but the most interesting bit is a condensed BGG Mobile. If you’re using a mobile device to access Internet in a game store and want to know if a game is any good, BGG Mobile does the job!
